Where do people sit most of the time for any length of time that's relatively comfortable?
In their car..
I worked a factory job and my back hurt too much to work/play on the computer in my free time.
Thus Compy Chair 1.0 was born.

$50--A passenger seat out of a 2000 Chrysler 300M from a local scrap yard.

Used an old sub box to give it some height.

Just to try out the adjustments I hooked it up to my Jeep's battery--and sweet!!
In and out, up and down, tilt forward/backward, and low or high heat.
*Since I found that a power supply anywhere near 13V dc works great.*

It worked out well to use the subwoofer box for the base as I could
put a car battery into it to operate my much needed heat and movement switches.

At the time I was living in my parents basement. Winner eh? :)

Next I constructed a base that would hold the monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Since I wanted the keyboard and mouse to be close and in the perfect position
I made it so the entire piece will move up and down for a comfortable position.
*Since I found that it needs and additional adjustment to lock it in place*

Here's it up.

Here's it down.

Yikes! I made a mess of my room but here's a pic with the monitor and computer.
The monitor just has a small piece that pinches the base down.

Not bad for the first attempt!
*Especially since I still use it today (11/19/2010)

This is me playing a popular MMORPG called World of Warcraft.
